Amanda and Alex: A Timeless, Romantic Wedding in Birmingham

Mandy and Alex Ruggerio’s wedding day was layered with meaning in the best way. They were married at Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood, Alabama, the same church where Mandy’s parents were married years ago. In a full-circle moment, Mandy wore the same wedding dress her mother and grandmother had worn before her, bringing three generations into one day.

Their story started the way the best ones sometimes do, completely by chance. Mandy and Alex met at a conference in Las Vegas, and somehow that meeting turned into a transatlantic love story. Alex, originally from Britain, packed up his life and moved across the world to be with Mandy, which honestly sets the bar pretty high for romance.

After the ceremony, the celebration moved to The Club in Birmingham, where the night felt equal parts elegant and joyful. From a historic church in Homewood to a classic Birmingham reception, this wedding was full of legacy, love, and so much laughter. Exactly the kind of day I love documenting.
